Hackathon Festival

Hackathon Festival

We participated in the Hackathon Festival organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne, where postgraduate students, including Masters students and PhD candidates, gathered to tackle sustainability challenges through the use of innovative technological solutions.

Our team contributed two sustainability-themed challenges for the students to address: ‘AI-Driven Energy Efficiency Audits’ and ‘Optimising Façade Design for Buildings in Australia’. Dr Jane Lai, Dr Tony Lam, and Kretheka Natarajan Rajeswari participated as speaker, pre-selection judge and mentors. They shared their experiences on the pressing issues faced by the industry and provided guidance on applying skills in real-world scenarios.

We were impressed with the enthusiasm and creative approaches that were demonstrated by the students in response to these challenge statements, and wish them success in their future endeavours.
