Lane Cove Public School replaced the 140-year-old school hall and canteen that were destroyed in a fire in early 2020.

The upgrade works included a covered outdoor learning area attached to the school hall and a playground area in front of the canteen building.
These works are delivered in two stages with Stage One providing a new replacement school canteen with restoration works to the adjacent playground area and Stage Two delivering a new school hall and attached covered outdoor learning area.
