The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is an annual benchmarking survey designed to showcase to investors the sustainability attributes of property owners and developers.
It assesses the environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives of the organisation and their building portfolios.
The performance is benchmarked globally and a GRESB score is awarded at the end of the assessment. The assessment period is typically between April to July, with results released in September.
Property owners and developers new to GRESB have a one year grace period whereby the first year results would not be publicly disclosed. This gives organisations an opportunity to improve their ESG performance in the following year. erbas™ SUSTAIN can assist clients in the coordination and collation of supporting documentation of their GRESB assessment and manage the submission portal on behalf of the client.
We can also conduct a gap analysis to identify the current status of the organisation and its assets, or analyse a client’s previous submission and suggest improvement opportunities to enhance their GRESB score.
